How To Use Message Variables

Modified on Fri, 9 Jul, 2021 at 12:27 PM

Within a message in CASTANET, you can customize with variables. This means that you can send the same message to different people while still adding a personal touch aimed directly at your recipient.

Below are the variables and descriptions:

{firstName} will insert the first name that the prospect uses on LinkedIn.

{lastName} will insert the last name that the prospect uses on LinkedIn.

{companyName} will insert the name of the company that the prospect has listed as an employer on LinkedIn.

{title} will insert the title that the prospect has listed they fulfill at their company on LinkedIn. For example, “Manager” or “Marketing Director”.

Pro Tip: While we like to believe that LinkedIn users will have their profiles accurately filled out, they don’t always insert information in the correct place. Because of this, we suggest using variables sparingly and erring on the side of specific messaging rather than counting on variables to help the effectiveness of your message. Generally, a first name is pretty reliable but the others may vary.
